The Bosporus Strait (English: /ˈbɒspərəsˈbɒsfərəs/; Greek: [bós.po.ros]; Turkish: İstanbul Boğazı 'Istanbul strait', colloquially Boğaz) or Bosphorus Strait is a natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in Istanbul in northwestern Turkey.
