Cherkasy (Ukrainian: Черка́си, Ukrainian: [tʃerˈkɑsɪ]) is a city in central Ukraine. Cherkasy is the capital of Cherkasy Oblast (province), as well as the administrative center of Cherkasky Raion (district) within the oblast.
