Amager (Danish: [ˈɑˌmɑˀ] or, especially among older speakers, Danish: [ˈɑˌmɛˀɐ]) in the Øresund is Denmark's most densely populated island, with more than 216,000 inhabitants (January 2022) a small appendage to Zealand.
