Hatshepsut (English: /hætˈʃɛpsʊt/; also Hatchepsut; Egyptian: - "Foremost of Noble Ladies"; or archaically Hatasu c. 1507–1458 BC) was the fifth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, ruling from or 1479 BC until her death in 1458 BC. Hatshepsut was the daughter of Thutmose I and his principal wife Ahmose.
