Itaboraí (Portuguese: [itɐboɾaˈi], Portuguese: [itɐbuɾɐˈi]) is a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, that belongs to the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area. It was founded in 1672.
