Tadjoura (Afar: Tagórri; Arabic: تاجوراء Tağūrah; Somali: Tajuura) is one of the oldest towns in Djibouti and the capital of the Tadjourah Region. The town evolved into an early Islamic center with the arrival of Muslims shortly after the Hijra.
